Amelia Island Mosquito Control District
of Nassau County is an Independent Special Taxing District. The District has been proudly serving the public since 1950.
It was formed by a special referendum with the sole purpose to improve the quality of life on beautiful Amelia Island, Florida, through the control of pestiferous and disease bearing mosquitoes.
These services are provided through a local ad valorem tax and therefore available at no extra charge to the residents of the district.

Monthly Commission Meetings
Amelia Island Mosquito Control District is governed by a three member Board of Commissioner team that is elected from within the District. They meet every 3rd Wednesday of each month in the James "Check" Taylor Operation Center (2500 Lynndale Road, Fernandina Beach, Florida) at 5:30 PM.
The public is cordially invited to attend these meetings.
